If you are unhappy with your hair after an appointment at Jal Clarke Hair, we will endeavour to rectify this for you unless prior agreed in consultation and not unrealistic. (I.e. A lightening process which can take multiple appointments and cannot be completed within one appointment) We do not offer refunds but assure you we can rectify or amend anything you are unhappy with within 2 weeks of initial appointment.

Deposits

We require a deposit of 50% of the total of your booking. This is non-refundable, but you may move your appointment.

Weddings

For wedding bookings, the cost of the trial is payable upon the booking of the appointment. And deposits of 50% are required to be paid at the trial to secure your wedding date. The final payment is due 6 weeks prior to the wedding date. (All deposits are non-refundable)

Responsibilities for customers clothing & personal items

We will do our best to ensure we protect your clothing with a gown, a colour cape and towel at the basin. But we do request you do not wear your best clothing or white clothing, as often with movement dye can transfer to clothing even though we have done all we can to protect. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for loss or damage to personal articles, including clothing, jewellery, phones, and accessories.

Hair Colour Skin Tests

We are required by law to do a Colour Skin test on all clients 48-Hours prior to their Hair Colour appointment. Please arrange a convenient time to come in to have your Skin test at the Salon and complete our form. If you have any reaction after having your skin test during the 48-hour period you must contact us to let us know. Any reaction will mean that we cannot provide you with a colour service. But we may be able to offer you an alternative service.

Metallic salts

If your hair contains metallic salts and you fail to let us know at consultation stage or you have ever been hospitalised due to a reaction to colour and failed to let us know. We cannot accept any responsibility as we have followed our colour brands guidelines.

Rescheduling notice for appointments

We understand that sometimes extraordinary circumstances are unavoidable, and you may need to change your schedule. We kindly ask that you give us 48-hours’ notice if you cancel your appointment. If 48-hours’ notice is not given, you will be charged 50% of your service fee. And lose any deposit paid if greater than 50% Missed appointments or “no shows” are subject to a charge in the amount of the full service. Your card details are stored on file and by booking you accept our terms and conditions.

Cancellations

Cancellations and “no shows” leave gaps in our schedule that cannot be filled without timely notice. This notification courtesy enables us to schedule another client and, in turn, maintains a higher availability of services for you as well as others.

Late arrivals

Due to scheduling commitments to other clients’ schedules, we may need to reschedule any appointment for which you are more than 15 minutes late.
